An international jury will select the Best Product,
the Top Ten and Selection products in each category.
All awarded products receive an outstanding ISPO Textrends benefit package.
If your products are selected by the jury,
the respective companies will receive the benefit package for a promotion fee.
What does the jury need to evaluate your product?
1. Completed online application
2. For each application, one product sample must be submitted: one sample 50 x 50 cm for fabrics, one sample of each accessory or trims and insulation and one piece of each garment.

He is also a consultant working on design and marketing developments with many leading apparel and industrial companies in Europe, ranging from fashion to automotive, pharmaceuticals and white goods. He is renowned for his speeches around the world on social and design trends. David has been visiting professor at the Royal College of Arts, London teaching MA students textiles, fashion and marketing as well as Associate Professor at ARTez, Arnhem the Netherlands, responsible for the course on branding and marketing and Associate Professor at Renmin University, Beijing. He is also a peer member for the CBI Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands and is often called as an expert witness in legal matters.

Louisa Smith is an internationally respected textile trend consultant, working with companies up to three years ahead of the market across the entire textile supply chain — from fibre development through to finished garments. Her forward-thinking vision connects material innovation with global shifts, ensuring brands align with the right on-trend directions at every level of the industry. With over 30 years of international experience in fashion and textiles, Louisa delivers strategic trend forecasting and market intelligence to companies operating across fibre, fabric, manufacturing, and retail. A graduate of Fashion and Textile Design from Manchester Metropolitan University, she began her career in Hong Kong — at the heart of global textile manufacturing — building strong commercial links with China, the USA, and Europe. An avid traveller and cultural observer, Louisa continuously monitors evolving consumer behaviour, retail landscapes, and socio-economic influences worldwide. These insights form the foundation of her forecasting work, translating global movement into tangible textile and product direction. Sophie Bramel, based in Paris, is a journalist specialising in textiles. She is Technical Editor of Sports textiles, a global publication on innovation & sustainability in performance fabrics. She also writes for Inside Denim, View, and Outdoor Experts. In addition to her journalism work, she has co-authored three books on the history of manmade fibres: “Une Seconde Peau, une histoire des fibres du XXe siècle”, Editions Alternatives, 1999, “Le génie du pli permanent, 100 ans de modernité textile”, Editions IFM-Regard, 2001, and “High-tech fabrics & fashion”, Editions Falbalas, 2011.

THOMAS HÅKANSSON
CREATIVE DIRECTOR Senior Designer & Product Developer
With nearly 40 years of experience in design, product development, and brand building for both Scandinavian and international brands, his expertise spans a wide range of product categories, including outerwear, ready-to-wear, tops, and trousers in both knit and woven fabrics, as well as fabric development in Europe and Asia and has some experience with footwear and bags. Extensive experience conducting trend and market analyses, as well as developing design briefs for design teams, he worked on the development of collection and product strategies across multiple segments and product categories. He also represented companies at international launches, seminars, and trade fairs by delivering presentations. In recent years, he held creative leadership roles with a focus on sustainability and innovation, always guided by a clear product strategy. He also worked on optimizing the supply chain from feedstock to yarn through the “one yarn story” concept – one yarn, multiple constructions/fabrics – ensuring consistent quality across products and categories over time. Actively involved in the industry’s digital transformation with participation in several related projects. Since 2018, He has been a member of the ISPO Textrends Jury and was recently appointed to TEXPACT.
